Steven Jesse Bernstein; the Sad Bag
Perhaps you remember this one. Here's an obscure cassette only release from 1990. 3 poems and 4 songs...sounds a bit like Tom Waits after a lozenge.
01 Let's Make Love (Let's Make Everything New)
02 Strip Poker
03 Murdered In The Middle Of The Dance
04 Dancin' To The Radio
05 Off-Duty Dancer
06 The Man Upstairs
07 It's Just A Little Bit Of Everything (That Brought Me Down To This)

Gil Scott Heron 1/12/'78 Eugene
Looking back on 2011 I was profoundly moved by the loss of the great Gil Scott Heron. Just on the cusp of his reemergence after his first release in nearly 15 years , it looked like he was about to deliver his message to a whole new generation when he was abruptly taken from us. I think the message here should be- "if you got something to do, better get started today".
Tell it.
01 Intro
02 Rap/Drums
03 Hello Sunday, Hello Road
04 95 South
05 Good Vibrations
06 We Almost Lost Detroit
07 Home Is Where The Hatred Is (tape flip in the middle)
08 Band Intros
09 Blow Wind Blow
10 Johannesburg
11 E: The Bottle
